Tomfoolery

Here's a show I'm shocked that I never heard of. Sure, it only ran in 1970-71, so I was alive, but barely. But it was Rankin/Bass! Illustrating the works of people like Ogden Nash, Edward Lear, and Lewis Carroll!
"Tomfoolery" needs a retro resurgence.

Oh Man, this was a great show. I can remember the theme song still, and the recurring bit about the plant for Mr. Discophilas (a phonetic spelling - don't have a clue about how it is actually spelled) is hysterical. Can't explain why it struck me that way. And there was something about "...that makes good sense, good old nonsense, gentlemen and ladies, ladies and gents, pennies are pence to me."

I figured the writers were probably stoned out of their gourds...
